Time to do to ChristoFascists what they want to do unto others!

Time to do to ChristoFascists what they want to do unto others!

First off, ChristoFascists always seem to be saying that Atheism is a religion. So seeing that Christo’s proclaim that my being an Atheist actually makes me religious, then I will use that against them. I now declare I am of the religion of Radical, Militant Atheism and Anti-Theism, and I state that now it is freaking time to give back to ChristoFascists what they have been dishing out far too long hiding behind their religion.

Basically if you or I were to stand at a street corner, demanding the brutal murder of others? We would be arrested and prosecuted, for the very least, of making death or terroristic threats. If we were screaming, foaming at the mouth, like many of these ChristoFascist preachers do, about how they should have a right to brutally murder others, basing it on their cherry-picking buybull verses, why again, we would be arrested for making death and terroristic threats and be charged with Hate Crimes. But because these scumbag ChristoFascists do so under the guise of their religion, why they can get away with it.

Well it is time, truly time, to fight fire with fire. So under my First Amendment right to freedom of religion, and as a Radical, Militant Atheist and Anti-Theist, which again, is considered and called a religion, by many ChristoFascists, I now use my right…..to give back to them what they dish the hell out.

Here is a list of my Top Ten ChristoFascists who deserve to be dragged out of their houses and a bullet put to their heads. Of course I am basing this on doing unto others as they want to do unto you, and taking a page out of Matthew McLaughlin’s disgusting Sodomite Suppression Act ballot initiative he filed in California.

NUMBER ONE OF THE TOP TEN LIST OF CHRISTOFASCISTS WHO SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT AND A BULLET PUT TO THEIR HEADS OR EXECUTED AS THEY WISH TO DO TO OTHERS:

1 Matthew McLaughlin: The Sodomite Suppression Act, also known as the “Shoot The Gays Initiative,” was a California ballot initiative proposed by Matt McLaughlin, an Orange County California attorney, that outlines seven measures relating to same-sex people engaging in sodomy including death for anyone who participates. McLaughlin’s act calls for the killing of gays and lesbians by “bullets to the head” or “any other convenient method.”. In a similar sentiment to both recent Russian and Uganda anti-gay laws, states San Diego Gay & Lesbian News, his initiative seeks to ban “sodomistic propaganda” and fine offenders “$1 million per occurrence and/or up to 10 years in prison and/or banishment for life from California.” The initiative, “which refers to homosexuality as “a monstrous evil” and an “abominable crime against nature,” would ban communicating messages of tolerance to minors; bar gays and lesbians, or anyone who voices acceptance, from holding government jobs or public office; and authorize mass murder” of lesbians and gays

Just for his filing that evil, disgusting, murderous Sodomite Suppression Act ballot initiative in California is reason enough for that scumbag ChristoFascist to be on this list. He should have a bullet put to his head just to save humanity from his religious insanity. This outhouse dwelling inbred thinks it is perfectly alright for his fellow psycho ChristoFascists to walk up to anyone they deem as gay or lesbian and shoot them in cold blood. He believes it is perfectly alright to demand all those who stand up for gays and lesbians to face up to life in prison, a million dollar fine, banishment from California, and prohibited from holding any public office. This is not the first time either that this demonic troglodyte has done this either. Well as Matthew McLaughlin wants to do to others….he should have it done right back to his sorry ass.

Christo-Fascist Pastor of Hate Scott Lively is currently on trial for Crimes Against Humanity in relation to the infamous Ugandan Kill the Gays bill.
Christo-Fascist Pastor of Hate Scott Lively is currently on trial for Crimes Against Humanity in relation to the infamous Ugandan Kill the Gays bill.

2. Scott Lively: He helped create and did all he could to pass the infamous Kill the Gays bill in Uganda, for which he is currently on trial for in Massachuttes, for Crimes Against Humanity. He went to Uganda and riled up the extremists. Because of his actions, especially his helping to publish the names of known gay and lesbian advocates, who were later murdered in extremely brutal ways, well Scott Lively is just as responsible for their murders as if he killed them with his own hands. Lively is best known for co-authoring, with Kevin Abrams, The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party. The book makes a series of claims that virtually no serious historian agrees with: that Hitler was gay, that “the Nazi Party was entirely controlled by militaristic homosexuals,” and that gays were especially selected for the SS because of their innate brutality. This is an outright lie as in fact, the Nazis murdered significant numbers of gays and made homosexuality a death penalty offense in 1942. Lively has taken his message abroad to Eastern Europe Africa and Russia. In a 2007 open letter to the Russian people, he asserted that “homosexuality is a personality disorder that involves various, often dangerous sexual addictions and aggressive, anti-social impulses.” In 2009, he went to Uganda to speak at a major conference on the evils of homosexuality, saying, among other things: “The gay movement is an evil institution. The goal of the gay movement is to defeat the marriage-based society and replace it with a culture of sexual promiscuity.” He also met with Ugandan lawmakers. A month after Lively left the country, a bill was introduced that called for the death penalty for certain homosexual acts and prison for those who fail to disclose gays’ identities.

Scott though deserves a special kind of brutal death. See he also advocated the use of the oil filled tires placed around a gay or lesbians body and set ablaze. So Scott should have an oil filled tired placed around his fat ass and lit up like a dried out Christmas tree. Let’s see how he likes having done to him, what he has advocated to be done to others?

ChristoFascist Pastor of Hate Steven Anderson after a well deserved beating he got.
ChristoFascist Pastor of Hate Steven Anderson after a well deserved beating he got.

3. Steven Anderson: Steven Anderson, formerly affiliated with Sacramento, Calif.-based Regency Baptist Church, started Faithful Word Baptist Church in Arizona on Christmas Day 2005 as a “totally independent” organization. With “well over a hundred chapters of the Bible memorized word-for-word,” Anderson quickly led his congregation into a series of extremely radical stands. Much of his venom was aimed at homosexuals, who he suggests should be killed (“The biggest hypocrite in the world is the person who believes in the death penalty for murderers but not for homosexuals”). In an August 2009 sermon, he attacked the United Methodist Church, saying “10% of their preachers are queers” and adding, “they got a dyke and a faggot behind the pulpit.” He has described gays as “sodomites” who “recruit through rape” and “recruit through molestation.”

Anderson is also a virulent government hater. As operator of the True Sons of Liberty website, the pastor calls for abolishing the IRS, the Federal Reserve, Social Security and Child Protective Services state agencies. In April 2009, he refused to get out of his car or answer questions from Border Patrol agents at the California-Arizona border. Agents broke his window and tased him as a result.

Anderson brought his church national notoriety in August 2009, when a member of his congregation, Christopher Broughton, went to an Obama appearance in Phoenix legally carrying an assault rifle and a pistol. It turned out that Anderson had preached a day earlier to Broughton and others that he “hates Obama” and would “pray that he dies and goes to hell.” Two weeks later, he told openly gay columnist Michelangelo Signorile that he “would not judge or condemn” anyone who killed the president. Then, for good measure, he told Signorile at the end of the interview, “If you’re a homosexual, I hope you get brain cancer and die like Ted Kennedy.”

Anderson is a special piece of shit. He has demanded the brutal murder of gays and lesbians for the last decade or so. He wants to scream how gays should be stoned to death? Well because I believe he should have done to him what he wants to do to others? If anyone catches this scumbag piece of shit eating bacon? Or wearing clothes of mixed fabrics? Or violating any of the other abominations in his KJV buybull? Then he should be immediately dragged outside and stoned to death on the spot.

ChristoFascist Pastor Pat Robertson makes statement about Gay Rings designed to infect others with HIV by shaking their hands.
ChristoFascist Pastor Pat Robertson makes statement about Gay Rings designed to infect others with HIV by shaking their hands.

4. Pat Robertson: Pat is a real winner. From his recent declaration that kids actually celebrate Satan when they go out trick or treating, to his defense of the Guatemalan president: Efraín Ríos Montt, who during his reign of terror at least 3,000 Guatemalan’s were killed or disappeared each month, to how he screams against Muslims installing Sharia law here in the United States, but has no problem with installing his and others brand of ChristoFascism upon the rest of us, to his outrageous statements against gays and lesbians, such as how gays are infecting people with HIV through the use of a ring, or how lesbianism is contageous, to many other equally insane and outrageous statements he seems to spew on a regular basis? Pat also believes that he and his fellow Christians are oh so persecuted…

The 700 Club” ran a story today about American Christians who are supposedly suffering persecution by being forced to violate their religious beliefs in order to maintain their jobs. Citing figures like Kim Davis and Barronelle Stutzman, CBN insisted that Christians are being bullied, intimidated and persecuted by not being allowed to impose their beliefs on others or discriminate against gay customers while doing their jobs. Pat Robertson was, of course, outraged by this “tyranny.” “Believers should not be forced to do something they don’t believe in,” he said. “It is tyrannical to force somebody to give money and pay taxes for something they abhor … The homosexuals don’t just want to be left alone, now they want to come out and stick it to the Christians. They have made it clear and it’s an organized thrust throughout this nation to force conformity.”

“This used to be considered perversion, it used to be considered an abomination,” he continued. “The Bible says it’s an abomination, the Bible says it’s a sin and these people say, ‘Not only do we want to practice our sinful ways like Sodom and Gomorrah, we’re going to make you like it and we’re going to make you participate whether you like it or not.'” He then stated: “That is absolute tyranny and it’s high time we call it what it is and we stand up for freedom,” Robertson concluded.

Pat has no problem though, being a tyrant and demanding the rest of us, whether we are Christian or not, to follow his religion. Well Pat needs to be called home to his Lawd and Sabior, preferably with a full frontal lobotomy performed by a well placed .50 cal Desert Eagle slut between his eyes.

Buybull Thumping Hate Monger ChristoFascist Bryan Fischer
Buybull Thumping Hate Monger ChristoFascist Bryan Fischer

5. Bryan Fischer: Bryan Fischer, a nationally syndicated Christian radio host, has a long history of anti-gay activism. In 2009, he began garnering national attention after he was hired by the American Family Association (AFA), which the Southern Poverty Law Center listed as an anti-gay hate group in 2010. Since joining the AFA as director of issue analysis for government and public policy, Fischer has used the group’s website and its radio network to promote outrageous and false claims about LGBT people, Muslims, Native Americans and African Americans. Despite Fischer’s extreme views – like blaming gay men for the Holocaust, calling for the criminalization of homosexuality, and calling for the banning of Muslim immigration to the U.S. – prominent conservatives continue to appear on Fischer’s radio show.

Fischer found a few more callings that would boost his profile: public crusades against LGBT people, lobbying the legislature against gay rights, and becoming the face of Idaho Christian conservatism in local media. The media-savvy “Reverend,” as he was known, was always available for a sound bite or quote with regard to “family values,” and he found a platform to espouse his conservative opinions on topics that ranged from women’s issues, health, science, constitutional law, climate change, civil rights and LGBT people. Fischer was described in a 2009 editorial at NewWest.net as constantly “lobbying for anti-everything causes.”

Fischer jumped into debates about LGBT rights with zeal. His quotes appeared hundreds of times in Idaho news outlets as the conservative “balance” to LGBT rights supporters. He and the IVA launched a public campaign against LGBT people that culminated in the 2006 passage of Amendment 2 to the Idaho constitution. The amendment prohibits same-sex marriage and prohibits the state and local governments from recognizing any kind of domestic legal union unless it’s between a man and a woman, effectively disenfranchising Idaho’s LGBT couples.

Fischer’s anti-gay propagandizing has long relied heavily on falsehoods that can be traced to the discredited psychologist Paul Cameron. Like Cameron, Fischer has equated homosexuality with pedophilia; claimed that same-sex parents are a danger to children; claimed that LGBT people don’t live as long as heterosexual people; and said that LGBT people are more promiscuous and more prone to domestic violence than heterosexuals. He also has falsely claimed that hate crime laws protect pedophiles.

Fischer found another way to denigrate the LGBT community when he discovered the Holocaust revisionist work of Scott Lively, whose Abiding Truth Ministries was first listed as an anti-gay hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2007. Lively’s Pink Swastika makes the claim that the Nazi Party was filled with gay men (and that Hitler himself was gay), and that because of the “savage nature” of gay men, they were able to instigate and carry out the Holocaust. Lively’s work has been roundly and fully discredited by reputable historians, but facts never seem to bother Fischer. He touted Lively and his bizarre Holocaust revisionism in 2008 on the IVA website, agreeing wholeheartedly with Lively’s claims that gay men caused the Holocaust, and he has since continued to reference Lively’s work to link homosexuality to the Nazi Party (most recently in 2010).

Fischer continued his campaign against LGBT people when he joined the AFA, where he serves as a radio host and blogger at the AFA website “Rightly Concerned” and at the Christian website RenewAmerica. In 2009, his posts became aggressively anti-Muslim. It didn’t take long for his inflammatory rhetoric in that regard to attract national attention. The horrific event that propelled him onto the national stage was the November 2009 massacre at Fort Hood, Texas, in which Major Nidal Hasan shot 12 people to death. In response, Fischer called for the U.S. military to ban Muslims. His statements landed him soon after on former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person” list.

Since then, Fischer has called for a ban on Muslim immigration to the U.S., said that inbreeding may have affected Muslim intelligence and sanity, and claimed that the Bill of Rights grants freedom of religion only to Christians. He has also continued his virulent anti-gay propagandizing, calling for the regulation of homosexuality in the same manner the U.S. regulates cigarettes, and said that homosexuality should be as illegal as IV drug use, and that, “Ultimately we need to get to appropriate sanctions for the act [of gay sex] itself.”

What can you say about this disgusting, ChristoFascist psychopath? He wants all illegal immigrants to be forced to accept Christianity as a condition of being a US Citizen. He now attacks our military calling them the Sodomite Army. He has spewed all kinds of hate and murder from his well used outhouse piehole. He blams the Holocaust and many other things on LGBT’s.  “[h]omosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler, and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine and 6 million dead Jews.”. He proposed criminalizing homosexual behavior in another 2010 blog post and has advocated forcing gays into “reparative” therapy. And then there are the promiscuous. On his May 26, 2010, radio show, Fischer recounted the biblical story of Phineas, who used a spear to kill a man and a woman who were having sex. Citing the nation’s “rampant sexual immorality,” Fischer said, “God is obviously looking for more Phineases in our day.”.

“Homosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler, and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine and six million dead Jews.”
– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Homosexuality, Hitler, and ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,'” 2010

“Homosexuals are rarely monogamous and have as many as 300 to 1,000 sexual partners over the course of a lifetime. … [T]he risk of sexual abuse in a homosexual household is much greater than in a heterosexual household.”– Bryan Fischer Web post, “The Truth about Gay Marriage and Civil Unions,” 2006

“Many of the tribal reservations today remain mired in poverty and alcoholism because many native [sic] Americans continue to cling to the darkness of indigenous superstition instead of coming into the light of Christianity and assimilating into Christian culture.”– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Native Americans Morally Disqualified Themselves from the Land,” 2011

“[T]he most compassionate thing we can do for Americans is to bring a halt to the immigration of Muslims into the U.S. This will protect our national security and preserve our national identity, culture, ideals and values. Muslims, by custom and religion, are simply unwilling to integrate into cultures with Western values and it is folly to pretend otherwise. In fact, they remain dedicated to subjecting all of America to sharia law and are working ceaselessly until that day of Islamic imposition comes.”– Bryan Fischer Web post, “Time to Restrict Muslim Immigration to the U.S., Send Them Back Home,” 2010

Bryan Fischer should be hunted down and a spear shoved through is body. It would be giving a gift to humanity if a “Phinease” would just shove a spear into his bigoted, jackbooted, brown shirt wearing, ChristoFascists piehole and then right out his asshole….because this is what is deserving of a scumbag like this.

Psychotic, murderous, ChristoFascist, Theodore Shoebat
Psychotic, murderous, ChristoFascist, Theodore Shoebat

6. Theodore Shoebat: I have already done a blog posting on this psychotic, freak of humanity. Theodore Shoebat, the deranged Christian fascist son of fake “ex-terrorist” Walid Shoebat, is once again calling for gay people to be murdered in the name of Jesus, justifying it by claiming that gays would persecute Christians if they could so they’d better murder them before they can do that.

Since homosexuality is against the sacrament of marriage, which is the building block of society, then it is against the common good, and the very Faith of our civilization, and thus is an enemy to the Christian people and should be treated as sedition. Let the heretics who believe in such license read where St. Paul refers to these sodomites as “deserving of death,” and also those who “approve of those who practice them” (Romans 1:32), and let them dare say that homosexuality should be allowed in a Christian society … A small step is a great fall, and a little leaven spoils the whole batch; if we allow such wickedness to be done in incriminates [sic], then they will soon be done in great numbers. Crush the eggs of the baby serpents before they hatch. The sodomite, the atheist, the fanatic feminist, the Muslim — all such must be deemed as criminals and enemies to civilization, for they war against the Faith, promote death and hate life.

They should be told to leave their wicked ways under coercion, and if that does not work, then death and strong suppression is the only solution. We cannot allow someone the freedom to do evil, for this will only increase the presence of darkness in the society, and it will become an internal enemy … Let the governments take up the Holy Cross, and destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8) Let it destroy the advancers of antichrist, and utterly annihilate the acolytes of the evil doctrines of Sodom. Christus vincit!

Theodore Shoebat should be hunted down and a bullet immediately put into his head, to save humanity from his psychotic ChristoFascist insanity.

ChristoFascist Peter LaBarbera
ChristoFascist Peter LaBarbera

7. Peter LaBarbera: Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) was formed as a part-time venture in 1996 by long-time gay-basher Peter LaBarbera, who reorganized it in 2006 as a much more serious and influential, if often vicious, operation. A one-time reporter for the conservative Washington Times, LaBarbera has been an energetic campaigner against “the radical homosexual agenda” since at least 1993, when he launched The Lambda Report, which claimed to do first-hand reporting to expose its gay enemies. Over the years, he has been an official with Accuracy in Media, Concerned Women for America, the Family Research Council and the Illinois Family Institute. He left the Illinois Family Institute, where he’d been executive director, in 2006. AFTAH is notable for its posting of the utterly discredited work of Paul Cameron (of the Family Research Institute), who has claimed that gays and lesbians live vastly shorter lives than heterosexuals. Among the Cameron propaganda published by AFTAH are 2007 claims that gays and lesbians in Norway and Denmark live 24 fewer years than heterosexuals. Reviewing that claim, Danish epidemiologist Morten Frisch found that “it had no scientific basis”. LaBarbera himself, in 2002, compared the alleged dangers of homosexuality to those of “smoking, alcohol and drug abuse.” Similarly, AFTAH’s website carries essays describing homosexuality as a “lethal behavior addiction,” a “dangerous” practice that is “neither normal nor benign.” In 2006, then-Executive Director Peter LaBarbera for the Illinois Family Institute, told a religious-right gathering hosted by Vision America that homosexuality was “disgusting” and demanded the closing down of all “homosexual establishments.” He called for the repeal of all “sexual orientation laws” — laws that ban discrimination against gays — and spoke of the “need to find ways to bring back shame to those practicing homosexual behavior.”

Peter LaBarbera should be hunted down and a bullet put into his head, just to shut his disgusting mouth full of bigotry and lies against gays and lesbians. If anyone deserves to live a short life, it is this low-life scumbag ChristoFascist.

ChristoFascist Michael Crook....should have done unto him as he wants to do unto others.
ChristoFascist Michael Crook….should have done unto him as he wants to do unto others.

8. Reverend Michael Crook: Blogger, author, troop-hater, and rape apologist, and all-around good guy “Reverend” Michael Crook feels there is a rape problem in America. The problem? The problem is that we think it exists. Oh, and atheists and gays should die. Crook waged war on bloggers who posted screenshots of what must have been an overwhelmingly embarrassing experience for him–filing false DMCA complaints in an effort to take down anyone who spoke in any way ill of him. As part of a lawsuit settlement, Crook issued a public apology for his harassment. Crook, who has referred to rape as “surprise sex,” said of the Steubenville rape victim, “She wore clothing that could, in my opinion, be reasonably perceived by those in her age bracket as inviting sexual contact, and by others as just plain “slutty,” which is an element that conveniently seems to exist in many accusations of “rape.” After her assailants received a slap on the wrist for their actions, Crook lamented that two young men’s lives are ruined.

It is not only for these reasons that Michael Crook made this list, but for his rampant tweets about how “I really, truly wish that atheism and homosexuality could both be criminalized with the death penalty as the end result.” or how “Homosexuals should be denied medical care, public assistance and everything else until they repent.” or his standing up for sex offenders…who truthfully NEVER reforms “If I had to chose between a reformed sex offender and an atheist living in my neighborhood, the atheist would not prevail.” or even more attacks against rape victims “”Without exception, “rape” is simply buyers remorse, a simple misunderstanding, or, quite frankly, a lie designed to exact revenge.”.

Well Michael Crook, this is one Radical and Militant Atheist who freaking DARES you to try to come and execute him. Put your money where your fat outhouse piehole is….let’s see if you got the balls of your conviction. I will gladly send you my address so I can see if you got the guts to kill this Atheist, but I would warn you, before you come to my door? Have your will written out, your life insurance paid off and you kiss your inbred, outhouse dwelling retarded loved ones goodbye. Cause the next time they will see you? I will have gift wrapped you in a body bag to send you back to them, for the closed casket funeral after I rip your fucking head off and shoved it up your ass.

Yeah, this son of a jackal should first be put into a prison full of big dicked rapists who can use him for a boy toy, then once he gets raped a few times we can tell him….oh that was just a simple misunderstanding between you and the rapists now wasn’t it? The misunderstanding was, that you loved it Michael Crook, you wanted it and you are a homosexual because of it. So because you are a homosexual Michael Crook, once you are released from prison? We can put a bullet to your head or stone you to death for being a flaming homosexual because you did not punch your rapists in the face now did you?

ChristoFascist Mat Staver, who should have done unto him as he wants to do unto others.
ChristoFascist Mat Staver, who should have done unto him as he wants to do unto others.

9. Mat Staver: What can you really say about this disgusting leader of the Liberty Council, Mat Staver?

Liberty Counsel’s Mat Staver joined VSY America’s “Crosstalk” program recently to discuss his work urging government officials to defy the Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality. Staver urged governors and other elected officials to “stand up and resist” the Supreme Court’s ruling, praising officials in Alabama and Texas who are pushing back against it. Such officials, he said, could create “sanctuary cities” free from gay marriage and abortion rights, just as some cities have become sanctuary cities for undocumented immigrants. “You know what, if some cities can create sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, why can’t a city or a state create a sanctuary city or state to protect the preborn?” he asked. “And to protect marriage,” VCY’s Jim Schneider chimed in. “…and to protect marriage, absolutely.”

Staver is representing one Kentucky County clerk, Kim Davis, who is refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay and lesbian couples, which he said she can’t do because she would be giving those couples a “license” to “engage in a sinful activity with a sinful relationship.”

Liberty Counsel Chairman Mat Staver says LGBT young people have “confusion” because of “the likes of a Jerry Sandusky abuser,” so they need to be cured by dangerous attempts to change their sexual orientation – a practice that has been condemned by every major medical and mental health organization in the country. Liberty Counsel’s Staver Defended Reparative Therapists, Calling Laws Banning The Practice “One Of The Greatest Assaults On Children And Families That Has Risen In Recent Times.”  “In his testimony before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution and Civil Justice, Staver called it ‘religious discrimination’ that two states, California and New Jersey, have passed laws prohibiting counselors from practicing gay conversion therapy on minors, a widely discredited approach to trying to change someone’s sexual orientation. New York is also mulling a similar ban. ‘Homosexual activists have attempted to enact laws throughout the country that would silence mental health professionals from expressing the truth that an individual can successfully reduce or eliminate unwanted same-sex attractions, behaviors or identity and live consistent with their sincerely held religious beliefs concerning human sexuality,’ Staver wrote in his prepared remarks. ‘Those efforts are nothing more than an attempt to censor any viewpoint concerning scriptural teaching on human sexuality, and they represent one of the greatest assaults on children and families that has arisen in recent times.’”

According to World Net Daily, when decrying California’s ban on reparative therapy, “Staver said California legislators and judges ‘have essentially barged into the private therapy rooms of victimized young people and told them that their confusion, caused by the likes of a Jerry Sandusky abuser, is normal and that they should pursue their unwanted and dangerous same-sex sexual attractions and behavior, regardless of whether those minors desire their religious beliefs to trump their unwanted attractions.’” In response to the Supreme Court declining to take case on California reparative therapy ban, the New York Times reported, “Liberty Counsel, a Christian legal aid group that is affiliated with Liberty University in Virginia, had petitioned the Supreme Court to step in, arguing that lawmakers had no scientific basis for their contention that conversion therapy does harm. ‘I am deeply saddened for the families we represent and for the thousands of children that our professional clients counsel, many of whom developed these unwanted attractions because of abuse of a pedophile,’ the founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, Mat Staver, said in a statement. ‘The minors we represent do not want to act on same-sex attractions,’ he said, ‘nor do they want to engage in such behavior. They are greatly benefiting from this counseling.’”

March 2009:  Lively And Two Other Americans Headlined A Conference In Kampala On “The Gay Agenda.”  “Last March, three American evangelical Christians, whose teachings about “curing” homosexuals have been widely discredited in the United States, arrived here in Uganda’s capital to give a series of talks.  The theme of the event, according to Stephen Langa, its Ugandan organizer, was ‘the gay agenda — that whole hidden and dark agenda’ — and the threat homosexuals posed to Bible-based values and the traditional African family. For three days, according to participants and audio recordings, thousands of Ugandans, including police officers, teachers and national politicians, listened raptly to the Americans, who were presented as experts on homosexuality. […]The three Americans who spoke at the conference — Scott Lively, a missionary who has written several books against homosexuality, including ‘7 Steps to Recruit-Proof Your Child’; Caleb Lee Brundidge, a self-described former gay man who leads ‘healing seminars’; and Don Schmierer, a board member of Exodus International, whose mission is ‘mobilizing the body of Christ to minister grace and truth to a world impacted by homosexuality’ — are now trying to distance themselves from the bill.”

Of course Mat Staver and his Liberty Council is representing Lively in his trial on Crimes Against Humanity in Massacheuttes:

According to a press release from Liberty Counsel, “Today, Liberty Counsel will represent Rev. Scott Lively, an evangelical pastor who was sued by the foreign group called Sexual Minorities of Uganda (SMUG). The suit heard by the U.S. District Court in Springfield, Massachusetts, alleges that Rev. Lively committed ‘crimes against humanity’ in violation of ‘international law,’ simply by sharing his Biblical views on homosexuality during a 2009 visit to Uganda. Representing Rev. Lively today is Senior Litigation Counsel Harry Mihet and General Counsel Steve Crampton. The suit is a direct attempt to silence Rev. Lively and intimidate other pastors against teaching the Biblical position on homosexuality. Mathew Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, said, ‘This lawsuit against Rev. Scott Lively is a gross attempt to use a vague international law to silence, and eventually criminalize, speech by U.S. citizens on homosexuality and moral issues. This suit should cause everyone to be concerned, because it a direct threat against freedom of speech.’”

According to Equality Matters, “Appearing on Salem Radio Network’s The Janet Mefferd Show on August 19, Staver called Lively, whom Liberty Counsel represents, a ‘peaceful’ man victimized by ‘a George Soros-backed organization.’ The ‘George Soros-backed organization’ Staver referred to is the New York-based Center for Constitutional Rights, which is working with Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG) to hold Lively accountable for his complicity in human rights violations in that country, where Lively’s preaching against gays stoked anti-gay violence and inspired legislation – popularly known as the ‘kill the gays’ bill – to make ‘certain homosexual behavior’ punishable by death….. Liberty Counsel’s official line is that Lively merely conveys to international audiences his biblically-based opposition to homosexuality, and that any abuses of human rights have nothing to do with his work. But Lively’s actions and his own words suggest otherwise.”

Yeah, Mat Staver, another ChristoFascist scumbag who should have done unto him as he wants done unto others. This ChristoFascist should first go through some form of reparative therapy, to attempt to bring this inbred, outhouse dwelling Cro-Magnum scumbag to modern times. If that does not work, then like Scott Lively, he should have a gas filled tire placed about his body and light up like the proverbial dried out Christmas tree.

ChristoFascist Gordon Klingenschmitt waving his closeted gay hands.
ChristoFascist Gordon Klingenschmitt waving his closeted gay hands.

10. Gordon Klingenschmit: Televangelist and Religious Right activist Gordon Klingenschmitt will soon be starting a new job as a Republican member of the Colorado House of Representatives. This is a big promotion for Klingenschmitt, who has until now been laboring away as the host of a TV program called “Pray In Jesus Name”.

Klingenschmitt, an exorcist who preformed exorcisms for gays who got married and who goes by the nickname “Dr. Chaps”.

Gordon truly needs a full frontal lobotomy with a .50 cal Desert Eagle between his eyes. This is just one really psychotic preacher of hate of the ChristoFascists. Here are just some examples of Gordon opening his well used outhouse piehole, only to flip flop and claim he never said what he said.

Religious Right activist and Colorado state Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt claims that “child molesting” is “a favorite ‘recruiting’ tool of adult homosexuals” and warns that allowing openly gay men to be Boy Scout troop leaders will “lead to child abuse.” These gay child molesters, he adds, should be drowned.  “If your boy is in one of those organizations, you need to get the out of there,” Klingenschmitt said, “because what they’re going to do is promote homosexual men to mentoring and camping with your boys in the woods and it will lead to child abuse.”

He went on to cite Matthew 18:6 to declared that it would be better for these gay child molesters to be tossed into the sea and drowned than to be allowed to “cause a child to sin,” praying that God will “rescue the Boy Scouts organization from this political correctness that has openly forced men who are guilty of all kinds, who are openly admitting that they are engaged in all kinds of sodomy.”

The Boy Scouts are “thumbing their nose at God,” Klingenschmitt warned, as he begged God’s forgiveness because the organization is opening the door to “the abusers and the molesters who will take advantage of this and will cause harm to innocent children.”

Of course to show the hypocrisy of Gordon, read this and ask yourself how come he did not grab this child molester and drown him in the sea, but instead, called him a “new friend”? A few weeks before Rep. Gordon Klingenschmitt found himself in hot water for saying Jesus said that child molesters should be drowned, he interviewed a man on his show who has been convicted twice of sexual assault on a child and called him a “new friend.”

David Dorty, who is active in El Paso County politics and is with the American Conservatives of Color, appeared on Klingenschmittt’s video ministry Pray in Jesus’ Name (PIJN) News on July 16. Dorty, as The Gazette reported in March, has twice been convicted of sexually assaulting a child, once by a person in a position of trust. Dorty, and those who stand beside him, say he has been reformed through the help of God. Klingenschmitt made no distinction between redeemed and unredeemed child molesters when he quoted a bible verse about causing children to sin.

Then we have even more outrageous bullshit spewed from his well used outhouse piehole:

1. After Sen. Al Franken and Rep. Jared Polis introduced the Student Non-Discrimination Act, an anti-bullying bill, Klingenschmitt accused the Democratic officials of wanting to legalize child rape.

“Al Franken (D-MN) wants to require pedophilia in all public schools,” he wrote in an email to supporters, calling the bill the “No Child Left Unmolested Amendment” and the “Sodomite Schools Bill”, warning that the bill would make “sexual assault protected as ‘freedom of self-expression,’” Klingenschmitt claimed that “child molesting” is “a favorite ‘recruiting’ tool of adult homosexuals. They violate children, and when the victim is later confused, they lie and say ‘you were born that way.’” In other emails, Klingenschmitt likened Franken to Kim Jong-Il, compared Polis to an ISIS member seeking to behead Christians, and predicted that gay rights laws would cause schools to teach students that “every child has a right to be raped.”

Klingenschmitt has also accused same-sex parents of trying to recruit their children into the “homosexual lifestyle,” claiming that a stock photo of two men and a baby showed one man looking at the infant with “lust” and “licking his chops”.

2. Klingenschmitt, who is convincedthat “transgendered perverts” want to “violate” children and “recruit them into sexual perversion,” fears that transgender students are “raping, at least visually,” girls at school. Discussing a court case brought by the family of a transgender girl seeking to use the women’s restroom at her school, Klingenschmitt said the girl was “possessed by a demon” and needed to “man up.” “The parents are encouraging that and really what the parents ought to do is take that boy to an exorcist, take that boy to a minister or at least discipline the boy, maybe give him a spanking,” he said.

3. The televangelist warned last year that while homosexuality is “still illegal in the eyes of God,” now gay rights activists “want to force Christians to participate in their sodomy.” “If we Christians do not participate in their sodomy, then we can be sued, bankrupted and jailed,” he said. “I don’t think that’s right, I perceive that’s a demonic spirit of tyranny that would come against the Christians and force us to convert to their religion.”

4. Klingenschmitt advised a photographer who faced legal action after denying service to a same-sex couple to go ahead and photograph the couple’s wedding…but print a scripture verse that he interprets to mean that gay people are “worthy of death” on the back of each wedding photo. In another commentary, Klingenschmitt declared that gay people are “cooperating with the Devil and there’s something unhuman inside of them.”

5. Klingenschmitt once noted that the appearance of homosexuality and bisexuality in animals happens because “it is possible for demons or the devil to inhabit or invade animals just the same way they invade humans, and that causes the sin of lust.”

Yeah Gordon does in fact, need a full frontal lobotomy as soon as possible. He believes that gay people are “worthy of death”, well it also says in his buybull, that glutony is an abomination and a sin that should be punished with death. Along with lying. So it looks like if we apply his buybull to his own actions? Then Gordon Klingenschmitt should be stoned to death for his gluttony, his lying, along with his wearing clothes of mixed fabrics. Bet he also eats lots of bacon, bbq baby-back ribs, pork chops, shrimp, lobster and other things that are prohibited in his buybull.

Then again, I honestly also believe that Gordon is a closeted gay man, who fantasizes about being gang-raped by boy scout troop leaders and diaper wearing service men who he says wears them because they are gay and have no control over their bowels.

Christo-Fascist Pastor of Hate Scott Lively on Trial for Crimes Against Humanity

In late February, when Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed the nation’s harsh new anti-gay bill into law, he claimed he measure had been “provoked by arrogant and careless western groups that are fond of coming into our schools and recruiting young children into homosexuality.” What he failed to mention is that the legislation—which makes homosexuality a crime punishable by life in prison in some cases—was itself largely due to Western interlopers, chief among them a radical American pastor named Scott Lively.

Lively, a 56-year-old Massachusetts native, specializes in stirring up anti-gay feeling around the globe. In Uganda, which he first visited in 2002, he has cultivated ties to influential politicians and religious leaders at the forefront of the nation’s anti-gay crusade. Just before the first draft of Uganda’s anti-gay bill began circulating in April 2009, Lively traveled to Kampala and gave lengthy presentations to members of Uganda’s parliament and cabinet, which laid out the argument that the nation’s president and lawmakers would later use to justify Uganda’s draconian anti-gay crackdown—namely that Western agitators were trying to unravel Uganda’s social fabric by spreading “the disease” of homosexuality to children. “They’re looking for other people to be able to prey upon,” Lively said, according to video footage. “When they see a child that’s from a broken home it’s like they have a flashing neon sign over their head.”

Lively is not the only US evangelical who has fanned the flames of anti-gay sentiment in Uganda. As they lose ground at home, where public opinion and law are rapidly shifting in favor of gay equality, religious conservatives have increasingly turned their attention to Africa. And Uganda, with its large Christian population, has been particularly fertile ground for their crusade. Journalist (and past Mother Jones contributor) Jeff Sharlet has reported at length on the Family, a politically connected US-based ministry, which promotes hard-line social policies in the East African nation.

But, according to Ugandan gay rights activists, Lively has played an unparalleled role in fostering the climate of hate that gave rise to Uganda’s anti-gay law. “The bill is essentially his creation,” says Frank Mugisha, director of Sexual Minorities Uganda, a coalition of gay rights organizations. Mugisha’s group has filed a first-of-its-kind lawsuit in US federal court, accusing Lively of international crimes against humanity on the grounds that he and his Ugandan allies allegedly conspired to deprive gay Ugandans of basic human rights.

Lively, who is currently running for governor of Massachusetts as an independent, calls the allegations “ridiculous.” “Basically, a Marxist law firm in New York City is trying to shut me up because I speak very articulately about the pro-family issues,” he says. But video obtained by Mother Jones—including footage of Lively’s 2009 presentation and a little-known follow-up meeting where influential Ugandans resolved to petition parliament for a harsh new law against homosexuality—lends credence to the allegations that Lively’s fierce message paved the way for the nation’s anti-gay crackdown.

Lively has an unusual history for a family-values crusader. A former alcoholic, he spent his late teens and 20s drifting around the country, occasionally sleeping under bridges and begging for spare change. After finding God in a Portland, Oregon, treatment center in the mid-1980s, he joined a conservative evangelical church and took a job as communications director for the Oregon Citizens Alliance, which was loosely affiliated with the then powerful Christian Coalition and was deploying radical tactics to fight abortion and the gay rights movement. In 1992, OCA introduced a ballot initiative with the first faint outlines of the legislative strategy Lively would later deploy abroad. Measure 9, as it was known, barred the state government from offering any “special rights” to gays or “promoting” homosexuality. It also required public schools to treat “homosexuality, pedophilia, sadism” as “abnormal, wrong, unnatural, and perverse.”

The backlash was fierce. Opponents likened Lively and his colleagues to Nazis and lobbed bricks wrapped in swastika flags through the windows of businesses supporting the measure. OCA’s aggressive campaign, likening gays to pedophiles, was also blamed for a steep uptick in gay hate crimes. In the end, Measure 9 was defeated by a 13-point margin. Undeterred, OCA began promoting measures barring special protections for homosexuals on the city and county levels. Lively, who bristled at the Nazi comparisons, also threw himself into studying the Third Reich and eventually grew convinced that gay men—some of whom occupied senior posts in the Nazi regime—were the driving force behind the Holocaust. “Everything that we think about when we think about Nazis actually comes from the minds and perverted ideas of homosexuals,” he told an Oregon public access television station in 1994. OCA also began deploying messages reminiscent of Nazi propaganda. One OCA-published cartoon resembled the infamous Nazi caricature showing a Jew manipulating the strings of government and economy. As Deborah Geis and ‎Steven Kruger observed in their 1997 book Approaching the Millennium, the group had merely replaced “the stooped, hooked-nose puppeteer with a fresh-faced gym boy.”

These tactics paid off: OCA managed to push through more than two dozen county and municipal ordinances. While the Oregon Legislature later rendered them unenforceable, OCA’s efforts kept the issue on the conservative agenda and showed the grassroots appeal of the group’s message. In 1994, the organization sponsored another statewide ballot initiative similar to Measure 9. It was defeated, too, but only by a 3-point margin.

After his bare-knuckled legislative battles in Oregon, Lively retreated to California, where he earned a law degree and a Ph.D. in theology. He also became a prolific author. In 1995, he coauthored what would become his signature book, The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party. It argued that gay elements in the Nazi regime tried to wipe out the Jews because their religion condemned homosexuality. And it claimed that gays intentionally spread immorality and corruption so others were “less likely to oppose homosexuality on moral grounds.” Pornography, according to this theory, is a “tool of ‘gay’ social engineering.” The rising rates of divorce, substance abuse, disease, and violent crime, are all a “direct consequence of embracing the ‘gay’ ethic.” In subsequent books, Lively laid out detailed tactics for battling this menace—including stressing the supposed danger homosexuality poses to young people. “Public sympathy for ‘gays’ as victims is not grounded in logic, but in emotion,” he wrote. “An effective strategy is to emphasize the issue of homosexual recruitment of children…”

Lively’s ideas have proven too radical for the mainstream family values movement, but they’ve gotten some traction on the far right. Bryan Fischer, director of issues analysis for the influential American Family Association, regularly parrots his arguments linking gays to Nazis. (“Homosexuality gave us Adolph Hitler,” he opined in a 2010 post on the organization’s website, “and homosexuals in the military gave us the Brown Shirts, the Nazi war machine and six million dead Jews.”) Lively’s theories have also gained currency in foreign countries, including former Soviet republics, where he has helped advance anti-gay legislation. But nowhere has his influence been more keenly felt than in Uganda. During his first visit there in 2002, he spoke at an anti-pornography conference and warned participants that Western cultural Marxists, backed by liberals (such as George Soros), were trying to erode Uganda’s independence by attacking family values—a message that played on lingering colonial-era resentments. One of their core tactics, Lively argued, was deploying homosexuals to infiltrate Ugandan society. “The cultural Marxists go into these countries, they buy media and they set up these street activist organizations to recruit,” Lively tells me. “I said, ‘Okay, this is what’s going on here. The way to respond to that is to focus on affirming family values—and discouraging the alternatives.'” Lively, who was used to being heckled, was stunned by the positive reception he received at the gathering.

“Public sympathy for ‘gays’ as victims is not grounded in logic, but in emotion,” Lively wrote. “An effective strategy is to emphasize the issue of homosexual recruitment of children…”

Later the same year, an influential Ugandan Assemblies of God pastor named Stephen Langa invited Lively and his wife, Anne, back to Kampala for a barnstorming tour. Lively met with lawmakers, lectured at universities, and gave a number of media interviews. He and Langa also hosted an all-day conference with local pastors. The event was closed to the media and the public, but Lively later recalled that the pastors who attended were “very grateful” for his insights “about the way in which America was brought low by homosexual activism.”

Following the trip, Lively kept in contact with Langa, whom he calls his “ministry partner,” and another influential Ugandan pastor named Martin Ssempa. Both men would ultimately be at the vanguard of Uganda’s anti-gay crackdown.

In early March 2009, Lively returned to Uganda at Langa’s invitation. Uganda’s High Court had recently found that the government overstepped its authority by detaining two gay activists simply because they were gay. In response, a Langa-run group called the Family Life Network planned a three-day conference to expose what he called the “hidden and dark” gay agenda. On the last day, Lively gave a marathon five-hour presentation, which was broadcast on Ugandan television. He claimed that homosexuals were aggressively recruiting Uganda’s children and argued that human rights protections shouldn’t be extended to these “predatory” figures.

Lively also told attendees—among them Ugandan cabinet members—that the gay movement was an “evil institution” that sought to “defeat the marriage-based society” and crush anyone who stood up to its nefarious agenda. At one point, he scrawled “Causes and Types of Homosexual Dysfunction” across the top of a white board and, beneath this, drew a continuum with what he claimed were the various types of gay men. On one extreme sat the transsexuals and transvestites; on the other were what Lively called the “super machos” and “monsters.” “The Nazis were super machos,” he said. “You also see them in prisons…brutish, brutish, animalistic, men that want to hurt other people…men having sex with boys and other men, usually in some sort of aggressive way.”

Moving on to “the monsters,” Lively continued, “They are so far from normalcy that they’re killers. They’re serial killers, mass murderers. They’re sociopaths. There’s no mercy at all, there’s no nurturing, no caring about anybody else…This is the kind of person it takes to run a gas chamber. ” He added that the genocide in neighboring Rwanda “probably involved these guys.”

Lively also likened homosexuality to a disease, and suggested that if Uganda didn’t “actively discourage” same-sex relations, the nation’s children might soon be throwing orgies and performing oral sex on school buses. “That’s what happens when the immune system becomes overwhelmed. The body begins to suffer, disintegrate,” he said. “We need public policy that discourages homosexuality.”

According to Kapya Kaoma, an Anglican priest from Zambia who attended the conference as part of an investigation for the liberal think tank Political Research Associates, Lively’s remarks landed like a bombshell. “These people had never heard of anything called the gay agenda,” he recalls. “But Lively told them that these predators were coming for their children. As Africans hearing it for the first time, they believed it was true—and they were burning with rage.”

During his Ugandan trip, Lively also addressed more than 50 members of parliament. The following week, Langa’s Family Life Network convened a follow-up seminar. As attendees filtered into the meeting room, they passed a table stacked with Lively’s writings and DVDs of his conference speech. The purpose of the gathering, the moderator explained, was to review the lessons from the conference and “come up with a way forward.” He asked attendees to share their recollections from the previous week’s event. A stocky young man in a purple Oxford stood up. “The man of God told us about the origin of all this,” he recalled, according to video footage provided by Political Research Associates. “He said there is a movement that is behind the promotion of homosexuality, and it’s called ‘gay movement.’ He told us it is more serious than we have ever thought. For me, I have never heard of that. But then I got to know that there is a force behind homosexuality that we need to attack also with force.” This was followed by a flurry of incendiary claims, many of them inspired by Lively’s speech.

By the time Langa took the stage, about an hour into the proceedings, the crowd was in a frenzy. The Ugandan pastor held up a copy of The Pink Swastika, and rehashed Lively’s inflammatory theories. In a crude variation on Lively’s take on the history of the gay movement, he claimed the first gay-rights organization in the United States was founded by German-American soldier named Henry Gerber, who had been stationed in pre-Nazi Germany and later became a child molester. (In reality, there is no evidence that Gerber had inappropriate relations with children).

Langa’s speech only fed the public’s rage, and audience members rose to their feet to demand government action. Eventually, the director of research for Uganda’s parliament, Charles Tuhaise, took the floor. He argued that the problem was the nation’s colonial-era anti-homosexuality laws, which made it difficult to punish gay activists. “It does not define its terms. It is totally vague and ineffective,” he explained. Tuhaise opined that parliament needed to “draft a new law that comprehensively deals with this issue—the gay agenda as we have seen it.”

Shortly after the meeting, attendees marched down to parliament and petitioned lawmakers to stiffen punishment for homosexuality. By late April 2009, the first draft of Uganda’s anti-gay bill, authored partly by longtime Lively associate Martin Ssempa, was circulating. Its preamble echoed Lively’s arguments about the threats gays supposedly pose to society. (“Research indicates that homosexuality has a variety of negative consequences including higher incidences of violence, sexually transmitted diseases, and use of drugs…”) The bill made homosexuality punishable by life in prison, and it created a new category of offense, “aggravated homosexuality,” for repeat offenses or cases when one partner is underage or HIV positive. This was punishable by death.

Lively claims that he never called for such harsh punishments. When Ssempa consulted him on an early draft of the legislation, he says he suggested softening the penalties and adding a provision to encourage “rehabilitation.” But by this time, the animosity he helped plant had apparently taken on a life of its own. According to correspondence that Lively reprinted on his website, the Ugandan parliament rebuffed his suggestions, based largely on his own arguments about the dangers of homosexuality. “I admire the courage of my friend Dr. Lively, because he has stood up to homosexual intimidation for so long as a lone voice,” Tuhaise, the Ugandan parliament’s research director, wrote in a letter to Ssempa. But, he argued, Uganda needed the harshest possible deterrents to prevent Western gay activists from indoctrinating children and dominating the “whole culture.”

While Uganda’s parliament ultimately stripped out the death penalty, it also added harsh new provisions. Under the version of the bill that would eventually be signed into law, even touching someone of the same sex with romantic intent was a crime punishable by life in prison in certain cases. Renting a room to a homosexual or “aiding and abetting” him in any form could land a person in prison for seven years. Some US religious conservatives, including Lou Engle of The Call, initially appeared to laud the legislation. But most reversed course and came out against it after the deafening international outcry. Lively continued to voice tepid support. When asked by a reporter in 2010 if he would support the bill minus the death penalty, he replied: “I would not have written the bill this way. But what it comes down to is a question of lesser of two evils…I think the lesser of two evils is for the bill to go through.”

As the bill inched toward passage, the situation for gay Ugandans deteriorated. Newspapers printed the names, addresses, and photos of suspected homosexuals, triggering a wave of vigilante violence. In January 2011, Sexual Minorities Uganda’s founder David Kato was beaten to death with a hammer, after his picture was splashed across the front of a Kampala tabloid, under the headline “Hang Them.” The group issued a statement blaming the murder on “hatred planted in Uganda by U.S. evangelicals in 2009.” Lively has dismissed these allegations and offered his own theory about the motive behind the murder, namely that Kato “was killed by a ‘gay’ lover, as was the case with another homosexual activist…Carlos Castro was castrated with a corkscrew by his boyfriend and bled to death in his hotel room.”

A similar pattern has played out in other countries where Lively has promoted anti-gay legislation. In 2006, he teamed up with a politically connected Latvian pastor, Alexey Ledyaev, to form an international anti-gay organization called Watchmen on the Walls, which the Southern Poverty Law Center has dubbed a hate group. (For more on Watchmen, see Box Turtle Bulletin). That summer, Lively traveled to Latvia, where he lectured at universities, met with lawmakers, and preached at Ledyaev’s New Generation church. As in Uganda, Lively claimed that Western activists—in this case backed by the European Union—were trying to infiltrate Latvian society and spread homosexuality, especially to children. In one case, he went as far as claiming that the gay rights movement was actually seeking the right “for adult men to have sex with boys.”

During his visit, Latvia’s First Party, which has deep ties to Ladyaev’s church, introduced legislation barring “homosexual propaganda.” (The bill initially failed, but it was recently reintroduced). That same summer, Latvia’s lone gay rights group, Mozaika, held the nation’s second gay-pride gathering. Hundreds of protestors—many of them wearing T-shirts from a New Generation spin-off called “No Pride”—turned out to heckle them and pelt them with eggs and feces.

After Latvia, Lively embarked on a 50-city tour of Russia and former Soviet republics, sponsored by Ledyaev’s church, which had roughly 200 congregations and a regional TV channel. As Lively wound his way from the Baltics to Siberia, he pressed officials to outlaw the “public advocacy of homosexuality” and agitated against anti-discrimination laws.

Eight of the nine countries he visited eventually weighed nationwide bans on “homosexual propaganda,” and five—including Russia—either have bills pending or have passed them into law. Lively takes partial credit for this development and calls Russia’s controversial gay propaganda ban his “proudest accomplishment.” Some mainstream family values organizations active in the region accuse Lively of exaggerating his clout. “The influence of Scott Lively in the Russian debate is a creation of his own imagination,” Allan Carlson, president of the World Congress of Families, barked when an activist asked him about Lively during a Capitol Hill press conference last fall. (For more on the World Congress of Families, see “How US Evangelicals Helped Create Russia’s Anti-Gay Movement.”)

But activists in several Eastern European countries that Lively visited say his influence has been considerable. “To this day, Latvian politicians are using his arguments about the secret gay agenda to homosexualize society and steal the children,” says Mozaika’s executive director, Kaspars Zalitis. “Most Latvians condemn homosexuality. We believe Lively and Ledyaev are one of the main reasons for this. Every gay person in the country knows Ledyaev’s rhetoric, which he borrowed from his American friend.”

As his inflammatory ideas bear fruit abroad, Lively has renewed his attention to the home front, where he’s campaigning for governor of Massachusetts. He admits that it would “take a miracle from God” to land him in the governor’s mansion. “My purpose really is just to have a platform to articulate my views so people can hear them,” he explains. Lively has also partnered with another radical anti-gay crusader, Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality, to create a new group called the Coalition for Family Values, which will work with organizations around the globe to push a hard-line anti-gay agenda. So far, Lively says, more than 75 organizations have signed on, including a few US heavyweights, such as the American Family Association.

At a press conference announcing the group’s formation late last month, Lively praised Russia for “providing much-needed leadership in restoring family values.” When a young gay Russian man, who wore as “Lively is Deadly” button, stood up to protest, Lively drowned him out. “Every time the pro-family people come forward to speak the truth from our perspective, we are interrupted by homo fascists,” he seethed, before summoning security to drag the protestor away.

The following week, Uganda’s president signed the nation’s draconian anti-gay bill into law, and the popular Ugandan tabloid Red Pepper printed names, photographs, and home addresses of 200 alleged homosexuals, touching off a new wave of anti-gay vigilantism. Ugandan gay activists say attacks and harassment are becoming commonplace, with religious leaders in the Kampala suburbs calling for gays to be burned and beaten over public address systems. But Lively remains unrepentant. “The gay movement has really brought this on themselves,” he told NPR during a recent interview. “You know, white male homosexuals from the United States and Europe going into these African countries because the age of consent laws are low and able to take these, you know, young, teenage boys and turn them into rent boys for the price of a bicycle…When you’re taking these boys and messing with them in a culture like Uganda…they’re just asking for trouble.”

Christo-Fascist Pastor of Hate Scott Lively’s trial on Crimes Against Humanity

Sexual Minorities Uganda v. Scott Lively

SMUG v. Lively is a federal lawsuit on behalf of a non-profit umbrella organization for LGBTI advocacy groups in Uganda against Scott Lively, a U.S.-based anti-gay extremist, for his role in the persecution of LGBTI people in Uganda, in particular his active participation in the conspiracy to strip away their fundamental rights. The case is part of CCR’s cutting edge international human rights work and groundbreaking efforts to protect and expand rights under the area of law related to the Alien Tort Statute (ATS) and continues CCR’s historic early work defending LGBTI rights.

CCR works closely with our allies at SMUG to support their work and hold U.S.-based anti-gay activists like Lively accountable.

This is the first ATS case seeking accountability for persecution on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity as a crime against humanity. The United States Supreme Court has affirmed the use of the ATS as a remedy for serious violations of international law that are widely accepted and clearly defined. Persecution is defined in international law as the “intentional and severe deprivation of fundamental rights contrary to international law by reason of the identity of the group or collectivity.” Lively – a U.S.-based attorney, author, and self-described world-leading expert on the “gay movement” – has traveled to Uganda and other countries, including Russia, and played a key role in the effort to strip LGBTI people of fundamental rights, including the rights to free expression, association, and assembly.

Case Timeline

March 14, 2012: SMUG files case against Scott Lively. Filed in the Springfield Division of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the complaint alleges that Lively’s involvement in anti-gay efforts in Uganda, including his active participation in the conspiracy to strip away fundamental rights from LGBTI persons, constitutes persecution. This is the first known Alien Tort Statute (ATS) suit seeking accountability for persecution on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

May 2012: Parties file briefs on Lively’s motion to stay case pending SCOTUS decision in Kiobel. Represented by Liberty Counsel, Lively files a motion to stay the case pending the outcome of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Shell, a case also brought under the ATS. SMUG files its opposition to the motion, and the court subsequently denies Lively’s motion to stay the case on June 1, 2012, ordering him to answer or otherwise respond to the complaint.
January 7, 2013: Court hears arguments on Lively’s motion to dismiss. Supporters and allies pack the court for oral argument on Lively’s motion to dismiss the case. Lively’s attorneys argue that his activity in Uganda is protected under the First Amendment. Pamela Spees of CCR argues that Lively’s conduct went well beyond the exercise of his First Amendment rights when he began to work to criminalize organizations like SMUG and to remove fundamental civil rights from LGBTI people, including their right to free speech and assembly.

A delegation of Ugandan LGBTI activists attends the hearing alongside Stop the Hate and Homophobia Coalition of Western Massachusetts, who organize a rally in front of the courthouse.

April 2013: Lively files notice of supplemental authority in support of his motion to dismiss; in turn, SMUG files response to defendant’s notice regarding Kiobel.

DEFENDANT’S NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL AUTHORITY REQUIRING DISMISSAL OF PLAINTIFF’S FEDERAL LAW CLAIMS

PLAINTIFF’S RESPONSE TO DEFENDANT’S “ NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL AUTHORITY REQUIRING DISMISSAL OF PLAINTIFF’S FEDERAL LAW CLAIMS”

August 14, 2013: Court denies Lively’s motion to dismiss. The court issues a memorandum and order denying the defendant’s motion to dismiss and referring the case for pre-trial scheduling. In a historic decision, the judge rules that persecution on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity is a crime against humanity and that the fundamental human rights of LGBTI people are protected under international law.

MEMORANDUM AND ORDER REGARDING DEFENDANT’S MOTIONS TO DISMISS

Fall 2013: Lively files series of motions seeking leave to file appeal of order denying his motion to dismiss. On September 6, 2013, Lively’s attorneys move to have the District Court certify an interlocutory appeal of its order on the motion to dismiss. The District Court denies his motion for certification, noting that an interim appeal would be improper given the need for discovery and the lack of a substantial question of law that would justify review before the appellate court. Lively files another motion, asking the District Court to reconsider its order denying certification for an interlocutory appeal. The judge promptly denies Lively’s motion for reconsideration, ruling in favor of SMUG. The parties subsequently appear before the District Court for a scheduling conference, on November 6, 2013, to set the timeline for the pre-trial phase of the case.

DEFENDANT SCOTT LIVELY’S ANSWER AND DEFENSES TO PLAINTIFF’S FIRST AMENDED COMPLAINT

December 5, 2013: Lively files petition for writ of mandamus. On December 5, 2013, Lively files a petition requesting that the First Circuit Court of Appeals issue a writ of mandamus, a type of relief granted only in extraordinary circumstances, directing the District Court to vacate its order denying Lively’s motion to dismiss. The next day, his legal team also file a motion with the District Court to stay the case, pending the First Circuit’s review of the writ petition. The District Court denies the defendant’s motion for a stay, allowing the discovery phase to proceed. Almost a year later, on December 4, 2014, the First Circuit issues a judgment denying Lively’s petition for a writ.

April 9, 2015: Sexual Minorities Uganda files motion asking court to subpoena Martin Ssempa.

UPDATE ON CASE:

June 16, 2015: Lawyers in the federal “crimes against humanity” lawsuit against anti-homosexuality pastor Scott Lively continue to wrangle over which information should be made public in the case, and how public that information should be.

Attorney Roger Gannam on Tuesday argued that lawyers for the plaintiffs were being so surreptitious in turning over documents – already subject to an “attorney’s eyes only” restriction – that it was hindering Lively’s ability to wage an effective defense.

“Scott Lively has no desire for the information except for this lawsuit,” Gannam argued to U.S. Magistrate Judge Katherine Robertson. “SMUG has not proved that it’s reliable in deciding what Scott Lively should see and shouldn’t see.”

In particular, the lawyer cited an email relating to a SMUG fund-raiser geared toward paying fees in the Lively case, which he said was so heavily redacted even the subject line was blacked out. Gannam also referred to images the plaintiffs have withheld of participants at the 2009 workshop in Uganda, which he argued Lively couldn’t confirm were there if he can’t see their faces.

Gannam also suggested the plaintiffs’ representation of the significance of the 2009 workshop in Uganda was overstated.

“It has been suggested that the number of (anti-gay) participants at this conference that captivated an entire country was seven, and as many as 30 were SMUG agents who attended just to figure out what was going on,” Gannam argued.

However the plaintiffs have argued that Lively’s evangelism served to stir up an already politically vulnerable country with conservative views on sexuality. SMUG argues the workshops prompted openly gay Ugandans to go into hiding lest they risk being murdered or jailed. The penalty for homosexual acts in Uganda is life imprisonment.

Jeena Shaw, a lawyer for the plaintiff’s on Tuesday argued that certain documents could not be turned over to Lively’s defense team because he may use them to imperil SMUG’s security measures and its allies who have not yet been “outed.”

“He could learn where members choose to meet, how they choose to communicate, – how they travel or hide (in and out of the country),” Shaw told Robertson. “Mr. Lively could further refine (anti-gay) legislation or other modes of attack,” Shaw said.

Gannam said Lively has no such plans and has complied with the protective order already in place in the case.

Lawyers also sparred about how and whether SMUG board member Sam Ganafa should be compelled to appear for a deposition in the case.

The plaintiff’s argue that Ganafa only has tangential knowledge of the events in the case, and has already been subjected to public harassment in Uganda.

Ganafa was privy only to two events of the “outing” of gays in that country, first in 2013 by the Ugandan tabloid “Red Pepper,” which ran a headline that read: “BUSTED -HOW GAYS OPERATE IN UGANDA,” according to court filings. The article caused a sister agency called “Spectrum” to pack up and move its offices out of fear for its staff’s safety.

A second article ran the day after the “Anti-Homosexuality Act” was passed in Uganda on Feb. 25, 2014 with a headline that read: “EXPOSED! Uganda’s 200 Top Homos Named,” court records state. The second article featured a front page photo of Ganafa, according to the plaintiffs.
